Steps to root Galaxy Note N7000 on Android 4.1.2 DXLSE Jelly Bean using Odin

Pre-requisite

STEPS: 


Steps to root Galaxy Note N7000 on Android 4.1.2 DXLSE Jelly Bean using Odin
1) Download root kernel N7000DXLSE for the Galaxy Note to the computer
2) Download Odin v1.85 which will help to root the Jelly Bean firmware
3) Turn off the Note and place the device into Download Mode. Press and hold Volume Down + Home buttons together, then press the Power button until the construction Android robot and a triangle appears. Now press volume up button again to confirm to enter into Download Mode
4) Run Odin as administrator on the computer
5) Plug in the USB cable to the phone to connect it with the computer while the device is in the Download Mode. When the device is connected successfully, one of the ID: COM boxes will turn blue with the COM port number. This step is likely to take some time
6) In Odin, click on the 'PDA' button and select the 'PhilZ-cwm6-DXLSE-OLB-4.93.6.tar.md5'
7) Verify that Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time checkboxes are selected in Odin. DO NOT Tick "Re-partition" options.

8) Double check everything and click the 'Start' button in Odin to being installation. The process will take about a few minutes

9) Upon the competition of the installation process, the phone will restart automatically. Unplug the USB cable from the phone once the home screen appears


Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 running on Android 4.1.2 DXLSE Jelly Bean is now rooted successfully. Open the app drawer of the device and check for an app called Superuser from the list. Additionally, download Root Checker app from Google Play Store to verify that the root method is installed and working properly.
