Installing Ditto Note 3 from existing Moon Rom

If you are running Moon Rom and would like to install Ditto Note 3, please follow these steps. I've tested and it works.

Reason for me to install Lion Rom before instalingl Ditto Note 3 was because most user in xda forum manage to install Ditto Note 3 from Lion Rom. At this point in time, non of them install Ditto Note 3 directly from Moon Rom. To be safe, I install Lion Rom first before installing Ditto Note 3.

Tools needed:
Lion Rom - Lion_Rom_N7105_V1.2.zip
Lion Rom - Devil2-1.8.1-t0lte-DUAL-20131130.zip
Lion Rom - UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.80.zip

Ditto Note 3 - DN3_V3.1.1_by_E - Team_(LTE_Edition).zip
Ditto Note 3 - PSN_PureSTOCK - v3.9.1_N7105_4_3_OC - signed.zip

Steps:

  1. Ensure you are running Moon Rom v2
  2. Backup all your application using Titanium. 
  3. Download files from this forum "Lion Rom Stock.TW 4.3 MK5 - Knox Free - Rooted and Deodexed". See Tools needed above.
  4. Save all the 3 downloaded files related to Lion rom into External sdcard.
  5. Boot into recovery (press and hold menu + power + volume up until you see the Samsung Logo)
  6. In CWM recovery > Wipe Data/Factory Reset > Yes
  7. In CWM recovery > Wipe Cache Partition > Yes
  8. In CWM recovery > Install Zip > Choose zip from External sdcard
  9. Choose Lion_Rom_N7105_V1.2.zip 
  10. Once completed. Reboot phone.
  11. Wifi will not work due to stock kernel.
  12. Install Devil2 kernel. Boot into recovery.
  13. In CWM recovery > Install Zip > Choose zip from External sdcard
  14. Choose Devil2-1.8.1-t0lte-DUAL-20131130.zip. Do not reboot phone when finish installing kernel.
  15. Install UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.80.zip. Once completed reboot phone.
  16. You are now using Rooted Lion Rom without Knox
  17. Download files from "[4.3] DN3(Ditto Note 3) ROM for SGH-i317, SGH-i317M, N7105 from Electron Team (E-Team) 10-12-1". See tools needed above.
  18. Save all the 2 files related to Ditto Note 3 into External sdcard
  19. Boot into recovery. As instructed by E-Team, do not wipe anything. 
  20. In CMW recovery > Install Zip > Choose zip from External sdcard
  21. Choose DN3_V3.1.1_by_E - Team_(LTE_Edition).zip
  22. This will start Aroma installer
  23. As usual, you agree to T&C
  24. Backup EFS when asked
  25. Do not WIPE DATA !!!, skipped and press next
  26. Select your NOTE 2 model. Press next.
  27. Next to all until installation finish.
  28. If Aroma did not restart the phone when finish, you may reboot the phone by removing the battery.
  29. If you are stuck in Samsung boot screen, remove battery and boot into recovery and repeat step 20 to 26
  30. I repeated the installation 3 times in order to get it working. Just remember - DO NOT WIPE DATA
  31. If success, you are now running Ditto Note 3.
  32. Ditto Note 3 comes with stock kernel. Wifi does not work with this kernel.
  33. Boot into recovery.
  34. In CMW recovery > Install Zip > Choose zip from External sdcard
  35. Choose PSN_PureSTOCK - v3.9.1_N7105_4_3_OC - signed.zip
  36. This will install AGNi kernel which I am currently using (Devil kernel was having battery issue)
  37. Restart phone.
  38. Completed.
